cooking for two..

i actually got around to cooking sunday night. i made a delicious vegetable tofu stir-fry, aside from my new wok burning to a crisp and sending my house into a smokey haze it was a pretty good meal. i need to get better at taking more pictures when i am working on my projects. (a task im not the greatest at) so i apologize for the poor quality pictures.

first cut up all your veggies (i found it easier to cut up all my vegetables first and put them in bowls. this made the cooking process go so much easier and faster) i used red+green peppers, onion, garlic, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, sprouts, snap peas and shallots. yummy...
add a little bit of oil or wine into your hot pan and dump the veggies in, cook uncovered stirring occasionally. you want fry them not steam them so leave the lid off. (this is why the wok is good you can simply shake the pan and get an even grill)
set your cooked vegetables aside and add in a pinch more oil and cook up your tofu so it is crispy and golden brown. then set that aside as well.
in a sauce pan simmer together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, pepper, and a smidge of water. cook your noodles or rice accordingly. (i used annie chun's pad thai noodles. tasted exactly like the restaurant) then put your noodles in your sauce.

after everything is cooked place into one pan, stir, heat up and enjoy with friends! i was lucky to have a date to share my din din with!

this is what happened to my first attempt in my new wok! (burned bottom..)

like i mentioned before i need to get better at taking more pictures during the process. i didn't get a finished product picture. (sad i know) at least this picture can give you an idea. tell me what you think!

did you inspire yourself today..
